With new pay equity and compensation laws, regulations, and directives coming at employers, the need to stay ahead of pay equity issues is paramount. The demand for pay transparency only adds to this pressure and is a requirement in many states. These often-opposing pressures make choosing the right type of compensation analysis difficult. Furthermore, reporting or disclosing the results of the analysis can create a logistical nightmare for legal and compensation teams trying to maintain fair pay. So, what are employers to do?  In this presentation, Dr. Brian Marentette will breakdown several ways of analyzing fair pay in your organization and how to use these different approaches to your advantage in meeting transparency and pay equity demands.

Brian Marentette, Ph.D. specializes in analytics and consulting related to EEO compliance in hiring, promotion, termination, and compensation decisions. Over the last 16+ years, he has consulted in these areas to organizations with national and global footprints in some of the most high-stakes, litigious settings. Dr. Marentette has also supported numerous organizations as they worked alongside the U.S. Department of Justice to comply with Federal consent decrees resulting from discrimination in past HR practices. In his current role as Director of the People Insights Division at Biddle Consulting Group, Inc., Dr. Marentette leads their pay equity, diversity metrics, and EEO/OFCCP compliance analytics and consulting.
