Speaker Bios
Leah Stiegler is a seasoned Labor & Employment attorney with Woods Rogers, advising employers across the entire employment spectrum: recruitment, onboarding, workplace culture, pay equity audits, RIFs, terminations and severance packages. Leah helps organizations stay compliant and out of court. Leah handles workplace investigations and defends actions before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, and NLRB. Leah has extensive litigation experience, defending employers in state and federal court on claims She also represents employers in union matters, arbitrations, and collective bargaining negotiations.
Leah maintains a robust higher education practice, providing day-to-day compliance counsel to public and private institutions on employment and student-related matters, including Title VII and Title IX investigations, faculty contracts, tenure and promotion processes, and leadership training. Leah regularly travels throughout the Mid-Atlantic delivering customized workforce training programs for HR professionals, leadership teams, and front-line employees. A federal judicial clerkship alumna and graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law, J.D. and Virginia Tech (B.A., B.S.), she has been recognized among Virginia’s “Legal Elite,” “Influential Women of Law,” and Super Lawyers honorees.

Alex Liubinskas focuses his practice on management-side employment law and compliance issues. He helps business owners and HR professionals understand their legal obligations and help protect them against employment claims. If a claim does arise, Alex leans on prior clerkship experience to defend his clients before professional boards and in state and federal courts.
Before joining Woods Rogers, Alex served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable David W. Lannetti and the Honorable Joseph C. Lindsey in Norfolk, Virginia, where he gained valuable insight into trial and appellate proceedings. Alex earned his J.D. from George Mason University Law School, where he wrote for the Journal of Law, Economics and Policy and was a member of the Business Law Society.
